Performance of the contract with MINI MARITZA IZTOK EAD
In the presence of the Minister of Energy of Bulgaria, Temenuzhk Petkov, and numerous guests, a ceremony was held to announce the commissioning of the two new KWK 2000 and KWK 400 L bucket wheel excavators. The KWK 400 L excavator left the assembly site and started “driving” towards the Troyanovo-North mine, where performance tests will be carried out after its commissioning.
We would like to remind you that in 2016 our company concluded a contract with MINI MARITZA IZTOK EAD, the largest lignite producer in Bulgaria, for the design, manufacture, delivery and commissioning of SRs 2000 and SRs 200 type excavators.
The contract worth over PLN 114 million was performed by FAMUR FAMAK in consortium with BALGARSKA ENERGETIKA AD. It should be noted that this was the first contract for the modernisation of heavy equipment in Bulgarian mining in 26 years. The contract was implemented as part of a project co-financed by the "Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund" and managed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
